Meet Our Minister

From her Southern roots and conservative evangelical upbringing to embracing her identity and finding her place in progressive ministry, Jeanne's story is one of resilience, transformation, and unwavering commitment to inclusion. At UCH, we welcome everyone. We don't dictate how you should be or what you should believe. Instead, we embrace each person's unique path. Rev. Jeanne's journey reminds us that no matter where we come from or what we've been through, we all have a place in this loving and inclusive community.

Rev. Jeanne on the Bible

At UCH, we don't leave our brains at the door. We celebrate diversity and unity, welcoming everyone into a community where love is the guiding principle. We embrace a compassionate, critical approach to scripture and work to understand it in its historical and social contexts.

In this video, Rev. Jeanne explores how scripture, often weaponized to harm, became a source of healing and connection.

Sermon Library

We’re an open & affirming congregation and we don’t take the Bible at face value, leave our brains at the door, or ignore the modern day implications of faith in our lives. Curious about what that looks like in action? Watch or listen to one of Rev. Jeanne’s sermons online on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple.

Order of Worship

Our Sunday services begin with online fellowship (socializing) at 10am Pacific time, followed by worship at 10:30am. Here is the Order of Worship (bulletin, or service program) from one of our recent services, offering a sense of who inspires us, the interactive bits, the tone of readings, our emphasis on music, and more.
